ABOUT THE PIECE

Space Elf screams online simulation.

It paints melancholia for real-life interactions, the digitalised presence of a loved one, and the obsession over controlling narratives from a distance. Urban environment and nature clash among scattered words and dark holes. She understands now that her hologram has become part of who she is.

This sci-fi-inspired mixed-media self-portrait was showcased in New York Times Square thanks to the support of Plogix. In May 2025, it was exhibited in ECHOES OF PRESENCE at Blackdot Gallery during London Craft Week 2025.
