ABOUT THE PIECEGrunge Me illustrates the discomfort before performing a spoken word for the first time.
It’s one of many frozen memories in my 20s, a time of discovery and self-destructive encounters. Even though quite minimalist, this collage violently reminds me of what started my awakening. It was the Big Smoke.
This collage was showcased in ECHOES OF PRESENCE, a group exhibition curated by Blackdot Gallery during London Craft Week 2025.
